After writing yesterday’s blog, I was inspired to calculate what a six song EP would cost me. If I did things the way I really want to, each song would cost roughly $2275. Over the course of two beers at a hip little bar in downtown Santa Barbara, I began developing a release plan. Comparing the potential cost of the project to my current income, I crafted a budget and decided that for the next six months, all I’m going to do is work five to six days a week and make this project happen.
There a few things I have to figure out, namely the team I’ll work with and the actual execution, but in general I am very excited for this newfound project and direction. I basically decided to RUN with it and go full throttle.
More on all of this later. Time for work.
Here’s to my next project, ellwood station !
